Cara’s Denver Bridal Portrait

And then there was that time my best friend from growing up busted out her modeling talents….Seriously. Just wait till you see these! Our friend Cara got married in August of last year in Breckenridge, CO. Before her big day, we pretty much forced her to put on her dress and have a small bridal session around the area where she lives in Denver, CO. And I think everyone will be so glad we made her do this 😉 Cara and her husband Adam planned the most amazing, small, DIY wedding and so those days before they drove up to Breckenridge for the big day were a little hectic trying to get everything together. Our friend Meredith and I did Cara’s hair and makeup, made her a quick little bouquet and off we went. We had THE best time. I think Cara truly missed her calling as a model….she is STUNNING. I am so very excited to share these…

And yes, you’ll see the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in the background of some of these. I was freaking out! LOVE.

Anne’s Cheekwood Bridal Portrait

Hello everyone! Now that Anne & Jack are married and off enjoying Australia & New Zealand (what?!) we can finally show some of our favorites from Anne’s gorgeous bridal portrait session. We met up with Anne at her grandparents’ house and did a few pictures there to mimic the ones her mom had done there when Anne’s parents got married. They turned out beautiful! Then we headed over to Cheekwood where Anne & Jack had their gorgeous reception. It was nice to be able to spend time getting some gorgeous pictures of Anne before the big day. A lot of times, no matter how much you plan for pictures on the big day, there just isn’t enough time to get a ton of great bridal pictures. Of course we try our very best but a separate bridal session is always nice. 🙂 Plus, it gives you a chance to dress up and see everything put together- hair, makeup, dress, etc!

Y’all…I just can’t even handle Anne’s amazing veil. This veil has quite a story! It was purchased in 1900 and first worn by Anne’s Great Great Great Aunt. Anne was the 46th bride in her family to wear the veil. Yes, you read that right. The 46th!! It was absolutely beautiful and such an incredible story and family heirloom. It’s in fantatic condition so we were EXTRA careful 😉

Location: Cheekwood & Private Residence

{friday favorite} Scarritt Bennett bridal portrait

Happy Friday everyone! Amethyst & Bennett are such a cute couple. I can’t wait to share pictures from their wedding day. They have been dating since their senior year of high school and they couldn’t be more adorable. We had such a great time with them. This bridal portrait was the first session I did after Davis was born and it was a great one to come back with! Scarritt Bennett is such a gorgeous church here in Nashville and many people hope to have their wedding here. Amethyst & Bennett were lucky enough to have their ceremony here and I can’t wait to shoot there again next week!

I really loved getting to know Amethyst. She is so laid back and fun to be around. And it didn’t hurt that shes gorgeous 🙂

{friday favorite} Barnsley Gardens Bridal Portraits

Happy Friday everyone! I’m excited to finally be able to share pictures from Katie’s bridal portrait now that she is officially Mrs. Lewis! We had such a great time at John & Katie’s wedding and I can’t wait to share pictures from that 🙂 John and I grew up together so it was really fun to watch him on his wedding day and capture all of the excitement. Katie was adorable and so excited to be marrying John. We had a blast at her bridal portraits.

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I’m posting so late- it’s been a looong week. I am so excited to share bridal portraits of my beautiful friend Jenn! She and Allen got married last weekend at Lake Oconee in GA and it was so much fun. It was pretty much a high school reunion and I loved every second of spending time with my friends. We did Jenn’s bridal portraits at the gorgeous Barnsley Gardens. I am so in love with this place and can’t wait to shoot there again in October! Check out some of my favorites:
