Anne’s Cheekwood Bridal Portrait

Hello everyone! Now that Anne & Jack are married and off enjoying Australia & New Zealand (what?!) we can finally show some of our favorites from Anne’s gorgeous bridal portrait session. We met up with Anne at her grandparents’ house and did a few pictures there to mimic the ones her mom had done there when Anne’s parents got married. They turned out beautiful! Then we headed over to Cheekwood where Anne & Jack had their gorgeous reception. It was nice to be able to spend time getting some gorgeous pictures of Anne before the big day. A lot of times, no matter how much you plan for pictures on the big day, there just isn’t enough time to get a ton of great bridal pictures. Of course we try our very best but a separate bridal session is always nice. 🙂 Plus, it gives you a chance to dress up and see everything put together- hair, makeup, dress, etc!

Y’all…I just can’t even handle Anne’s amazing veil. This veil has quite a story! It was purchased in 1900 and first worn by Anne’s Great Great Great Aunt. Anne was the 46th bride in her family to wear the veil. Yes, you read that right. The 46th!! It was absolutely beautiful and such an incredible story and family heirloom. It’s in fantatic condition so we were EXTRA careful 😉

Yup. We’re having ANOTHER baby!! 🙂 Yay! We’re so excited to add another little munchkin to our family. Davis is (hopefully) going to be a great big brother! It’s nice to finally be able to ‘announce’ this very fun news. We can’t lie though- it’s been a rough few weeks for this prego. I definitely didn’t feel this bad with Davis and with so many weddings, sessions and work to get through it’s been a crazy couple of months. We’ve powered through though– with MUCH help from Dusty, our family, coca cola classic (yes, I’m drinking caffeine), Chick-fil-A & unfortunately LOTS of TV for Davis. But we’re doing great now & excited for things to come! We’re feeling very thankful we get to go on this crazy ride all over again. I just keep looking at Davis and thinking about how BIG he is…and just can’t imagine another little newborn in my arms. It’s going to be fun and crazy and amazing.

We’re still not sure yet if we’re finding out the sex of the baby. We didn’t with Davis and it was THE greatest surprise of our lives. We just might do it again. 🙂

Also— it will be business as usual around here until about March of next year through May. Of course as luck would have it– ALL of our wedding inquiries lately have been for March & April. Can someone get married in June? 😉

Thanks for sharing in our excitement!!

Abi & Omar’s Nashville Wedding

We are so excited to share pictures from this gorgeous, FUN wedding! Abi & Omar  (and truly all of our couples this year) were just a perfect ‘fit’ for us. We had so much fun with them and really loved being a part of their day. Abi and I were in the same sorority at UT so it was really fun to reconnect with her during their wedding planning process. We knew we were going to love them when we met last Fall to do their engagement session and then ended our night with drinks together. We loved hearing all about their plans for the big day and how excited they were to celebrate with their family and friends.

We started the day with some getting ready pictures of Abi at the Union Station Hotel downtown (which had the most gorgeous light–can everyone get ready here please?!). Their ceremony was at Christ The King and the reception was at aVenue. They really did choose some beautiful Nashville locations for their big day.

After their first look outside Christ The King, we were able to walk around and get some great pictures of just the two of them. This is one of our favorite parts of the day– our couples are more relaxed now that they’ve seen each other and they’re just enjoying some time together taking pictures. We try our hardest to make sure it’s a fun process too. 🙂 After their beautiful ceremony, we headed to aVenue for a reception that will go down in the books. Seriously… it was epic. (I never say that word)….but really….talk about a DANCE PARTY. These people did not want to stop…in fact, they extended the party for another 2 hours almost! We had taken SO many pictures at that point, we finally just joined the party and danced with Abi & Omar.

Abi & Omar, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day and for trusting us with your pictures. We wish you guys nothing but happiness & can’t wait to hang out again soon!

A huge shoutout to these fabulous vendors who made Abi & Omar’s day perfect:

Megan & Tommy’s Franklin, TN Wedding | St. Paul’s Episcopal & McConnell House

Happy Tuesday everyone! We’ve been slacking on our blogging lately- sorry! It’s been a very busy summer and we have tons of great stuff to share with you 🙂 First up- Megan & Tommy’s wedding! We really enjoyed getting to know this adorable couple – starting with our first meeting with them at Taco Mamacita and then their beautiful wedding day. Their Franklin wedding was full of gorgeous, simple details that we loved. It was clear they spent most of their energy during wedding planning making sure they had a meaningful ceremony and that their guests enjoyed a FUN reception– Jeni’s Ice Cream Truck for the win! 🙂 As you’ll see, these two are super cute and so in love (with quite a height difference we might add ;). They were troopers when it down poured right when we were supposed to start their first look – but the pictures turned out perfect on the front porch of The McConnell House in Franklin. Their ceremony was at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in downtown Franklin- it’s the most adorable little church and happens to be the oldest Episcopal Church in Tennessee (started in 1831!). Our favorite part of the day was after the ceremony, driving around with Megan & Tommy and hopping out around Franklin to take pictures. We made sure they had cold champagne to celebrate with and a fun time for pictures. Afterwards, adorable Megan asked if we could all ‘be friends in real life?!’ Yes, please! We love our couples…seriously 🙂 A huge shout out to Christina Logan Design– we really enjoyed working with Christina who made sure the day was beautiful and ran smoothly!
