Happy Friday everyone!! Can you believe tomorrow is the first day of October?! Fall is here and I’m loving it

With that said, I just want to remind everyone that now is the time to start booking your family sessions for the Fall. October is pretty booked up and November is getting there too. All orders for Holiday Cards need to be placed by December 1st in order to get them to you quickly so you can send them out to your family and friends before the Holidays! We’ll have some new card designs this year so stayed tuned for more info.

Fall Family Session Details:

$150 Session Fee

1-2 hour session

Professional digital processing of 50-60 images, presented in an online gallery for viewing

In-person ordering consultation

Happy Friday everyone!! So, it turns out that I’ve moved to the perfect city for my love of music. One thing Charleston didn’t have was a great music scene. Nashville has music coming out of it’s ears. And I have great friends who share this love with me. We’re constantly talking about what concert we’re going to next and how we can sneak our way into the lives of some of these talented people.

Today’s Friday Favorite is a toast to my friend Leah. Today is her last day at Belle Meade Plantation as the special events coordinator. She has done so much at this place and everyone loves her. Leah- I know it’s going to be hard for you to leave but you’re on to great things!! So, as one of her final events to plan at BMP, she put together an incredible night last Friday and made sure to secure some of Nashville’s most talented singer/songwriters. Dusty and I were lucky enough to join her at this incredible night. We were front row to unbelievable talent. Enter: Dave Barnes, Jonathan Singleton & Brett James. If you don’t know these guys you have to look them up…. now.   I was totally excited to get some pictures these guys. Check out some of my favorites:

Happy Friday everyone!! Well, we just couldn’t stand it anymore. It’s time to make an announcement…

WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Yup. Dusty and I are expecting a tiny little miracle. Can you believe it?! We’ve known for what seems like forever so it is quite exciting to finally be able to say it.

Last night we set up the tripod and snapped a picture of us with the first baby item I’ve purchased. I pretty much bought this onesie right away (from here) and when it arrived I just stared and stared at it. I couldn’t believe it. Is this not the most adorable thing ever?! Please notice the “LWP” inside the camera. Ugh. I love it so much.

Some of you already know this news and some of you are finding out now. I will say… we’ve had a few people say some of the nicest things to us as we’ve made this announcement. I mean… ‘You guys are going to be the best parents’ is one of the most incredible compliments I’ve ever received. And maybe people are just saying that but it sure does make us feel good. We are so very excited for this new adventure and absolutely can’t wait! And we’ve talked about not finding out if this baby is a boy or a girl. I know… we’re totally those people. But we love the idea of keeping the news from ourselves so we can have the biggest surprise ever! We’ll see though…

Our little one is due on April 9th… and my birthday is April 16th… and our anniversary is April 26th. April is one busy month!

And as a side note to our wonderful clients– don’t you worry. Your wedding/family pictures/bridal portraits are all covered. I’ll continue working as long as I possibly can. And I’m not the only one… I have 2 close friends who are also pregnant and I’m pretty sure there is an epidemic of pregnant photographers in Nashville.

Happy Friday everyone! I’m back for another Friday Favorite I’m going through tons of pictures from the past few months to update the website and make a few blog changes and I realized I haven’t posted Gracyn & Alan’s engagement pictures we did at Percy Warner Park! I had a great time with this couple. They were so sweet and you can really tell they are so excited to be getting married. I loved this session- simple, candid pictures in a beautiful location. It was a pretty hot day when we did these and we ‘hiked’ the stone steps at Percy Warner Park to get some great shots. This park is gorgeous and such a great spot for pictures… although you have to dodge the 100s of people who are working out. Let me tell you…those steps are certainly a workout Maybe I should go there more often.
