{friday favorite} Sewanee TN Weddings

Happy Friday everyone! I’m excited to share a small sneak peek from Clay & Pat’s GORGEOUS Sewanee TN Wedding! I seriously adored this couple and their families. They were so welcoming and SO much fun. I felt like a guest at the wedding and couldn’t help but dance at their reception. I’ll be posting a huge recap from this wedding next week. Until then… heres a taste:

I would like to give a big shout out to my second shooter– aka my husband for capturing this awesome shot of Clay & Pat exiting the chapel! How excited do they look?!

{friday favorite} Nashville Wedding Planners Group

Happy Friday everyone!

Since we moved here last August (has it really almost been a year?!) I’ve met some really great people in the wedding industry. Nashville has such an amazing community of planners, photographers, florists, etc. I have to say- the brides and grooms in our city are so lucky to have an extensive list of such talented vendors to chose from!

I was contacted by Jennifer Hamilton (Mr. & Mrs. Weddings and Events) & Tiffani Helms (Creative Designs and Events) to participate in the June meeting for the Nashville Wedding Planners Group. These wonderful ladies started the group and I think its so fantastic. There are tons of opportunities for photographers in this area to meet and network with one another so it only makes sense that the planners do the same! It only makes us all better at what we do. I attended and photographed the June meeting. A big thank you to the Nashville Wedding Planners Group for having me!

Some of the other vendors in attendance were:

Location: Cj’s Off the Square (such a beautiful venue!)

Florist: The Enchanted Florist

Catering & Cakes: Main Event Productions

Linens: Southern Events Party Rental & Event Company

{friday favorite} Our first home

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve always said that I want this blog to not only be about my photography work but also just about my life in general. It’s kind of my own online scrapbook to remind myself of where we’ve come and what we’ve been through. Buying your first home is definitely something you want to remember and such an exciting time. I find myself taking deep breaths and just taking it all in. I wonder how many times I’ll pull into our driveway and think ‘oh my god we own this’ 🙂 I am loving it! We are in the middle of unpacking, paint colors, Home Depot runs and cars breaking down (because naturally when you buy a house something else has to go wrong).

Here are some pictures from our big move! Thank you so much to our friends and family for all your help in moving and unpacking!

{weddings} Jessica & Josh: Williams Payne House

Hey everyone! Whew! My life has been a complete whirlwind recently but I’m excited to get my new office set up and get back in the swing of things. I have tons of great weddings and other sessions to share with you in the coming weeks. Let’s start with Jessica & Josh’s gorgeous wedding in Atlanta, GA. Their ceremony was at the Episcopal Church of St. Peter & St. Paul in Marietta, GA and the reception was held at the beautiful Williams Payne House in Sandy Springs, GA! Just wait till you see Jessica’s dress. I was totally in love. The guys looked great in their light gray tuxes and the bridesmaid’s blue dresses were perfection. 🙂

Thank you so much to Jessica & Josh for trusting me with your wedding memories!

You might remember this great couple from their engagement pictures at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

Check out some of my favorites from their day:

The flower and detailing on this dress was awesome!

Check out Josh’s incredible ring! And obviously Jessica’s too 😉

Jessica, you’re incredibly beautiful 🙂

Josh cracks me up. The guys were so much fun and really made the pictures fun. I love it.

The reception set up at the Williams Payne House was perfect. I loved the tables set up on the lawn, dinner in the house and dancing in the gazebo. Perfection.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Rachel!

Not gonna lie. Their first dance made me tear up a little. It was so sweet.

Jessica is the nanny for this little girl and she just didn’t want to leave Jessica’s side. Adorable.

Haha I have to post this. This is my friend Rebecca from High School. She was a guest at the wedding and this picture just makes me laugh 🙂
